Five Must-Haves For a Cohesive Wedding

The branded wedding is an AM+Co specialty.  There’s nothing like seeing the smallest details carried through from start to finish.  I believe that love is in the details, and we try to echo that sentiment in every piece we create for our branded weddings.   We love working with couples and their planners to create a cohesive look for their wedding, from save-the-dates to invitation suites to signage to day-of items, all for a seamless guest experience.

[By the way, if you’re planning a wedding, we prepared a shopping list of everything you might need for signage and day-of items.  It’s a great way to help you plan and spark creativity for your own event! You can download it here!]

Five Must-Haves

But, sometimes branded weddings aren’t possible for brides, either due to budget limitations or timeline restrictions.  However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t create a cohesive and beautiful guest experience for your wedding!  The wedding we’re showcasing today is beautiful proof!

Top 5 Must-Haves

Tiffany and Feron’s wedding, planned by Bella Sposa events, is a perfect example of how we accomplished just that with five pieces: a welcome sign, a seating chart, menus, place cards, and table numbers.  These five elements, when planned and designed strategically, can have a profound effect on the look of your wedding day, just as they did for this beautiful couple.

This wedding was held at the historic Clay Theater in Jacksonville, Florida, which is one of my all-time favorite venues. It was built in 1937 as a movie theatre but was renovated in 2018 into an event venue.  It has beautiful finishes, gorgeous floors, and timeless decor, which serve as a neutral backdrop.  We see quite a few brides choose black and white-based color palettes for their weddings at the Clay, but any color palette would work here!

The Welcome Sign

The first of our five must-haves is the welcome sign.  Your welcome sign is one of the most important pieces of your entire day.  It is the first thing that greets your guests and the first impression you make. It sets the expectation for what is to come.  This smoky acrylic piece was mounted on a black base which held a free-flowing floral arrangement by Marble and Pine.  I love the classic roman numeral date on this piece and the contrast of the dark and moody color with the wild and wispy florals.

The Seating Chart

The second of our five must-haves is the seating chart.  Most formal events include assigned seating, which means you will need a seating chart so that guests can locate their names to find out their seat assignment.

Vision vs Reality Seating Chart

This black and white seating chart complements the clean and classic decor in the entryway of the Clay Theatre so well.  However, what truly sets it apart is the addition of the florals.  You can see in the before and after photos that before the addition of the loose greenery, the seating chart was pretty, but it was missing something.  The florals elevated it, and the pop of green gave it exactly what it needed!

Table Numbers

Third in our list of five must-haves is the table numbers.  The table numbers are frosted acrylic and are from our rental collection, which are available for local delivery (unfortunately, we do not ship our rentals).   We offer two color options for these bases, white and black, which make them extremely versatile!

Place Cards

Place cards are fourth in our list of five must-haves.  They are essential for your wedding if you would like to assign your guests to specific seats at each table.  Tiffany and Feron’s place cards incorporated a squiggle motif, which is having a moment right now.  ✨

Menus

Finally, menus are our fifth must-have for a cohesive wedding.  Tiffany and Feron chose to do a booklet-style menu.  We placed their monogram on the front, and added a velvet ribbon along the spine.

A custom welcome sign, seating chart, table numbers, place cards, and menus can make a stunning impact when thoughtfully planned alongside the team at our creative studio. If you don’t have the budget or the timeline to do a fully branded wedding, by incorporating these five pieces, you can have a cohesive look and give your guests a seamless experience.  You can also incorporate semi-custom pieces from our shop

[And, you don’t have to let budget keep you from having the AM+Co aesthetic for your wedding invitations.  Browse our selection of semi-custom wedding invitations, which are five invitation suites, made with love in a selection of colors and shipped to you!]
